The picture shows Summer Garden Buildings receiving the ultimate acclaim at the 1996 Glassex Conservatory Competition awards ceremony. In previous years entry was restricted to customers of the sponsor, a conservatory roof supplier. As a manufacturer ourselves we were not allowed to enter but in 1996 these restrictions were relaxed. Following our success the normal restrictions returned in 1997.
A unique range of better value garden buildings
Since we were established in 1981 in Norwich, Norfolk we have worked continuously to provide the best quality and value throughout our wide range of conservatories and garden buildings. And because of our unique approach we now enjoy an unrivalled reputation for quality and service.
A unique experience of garden buildings
Since 1981 we've displayed our buildings outside in sun, rain, wind and snow, just as yours will be. Over the years we've displayed thousands of our buildings. This unique experience of working in and around our buildings is reflected in the expertise of our sales advisers. We've seen how our display buildings perform from close up. Although nowadays most of our sales are generated over the internet, we still have one show centre in Norwich with a varied selection of superb buildings on display.
The picture on the right shows an early Summer showcentre at Rackheath near Norwich in Norfolk. The picture dates from 1989 and yet this showcentre would be impressive even today.
A unique understanding of garden buildings
Over the years we've built thousands of conservatories and tens of thousands of garden buildings. This unrivalled experience of installation is another reason why we know what we are talking about. With no change of ownership since we were established, the original founders of the business remain in everyday control. Six employees have at least 15 years service each. At least one expert is available every day including Sundays and bank holidays so whatever your query, we have the answers.
Garden building specialists since 1981
The picture on the right shows a magnificent greenhouse which we installed in 2010 at a college in Norfolk. This twin apex roof greenhouse is over 80' long with a clear internal span. Features include a central box gutter and 42 automatically opening roof vents. The glazing is safe and durable 10mm thick multiwall polycarbonate. This heated greenhouse is used all year round as a classroom and for commercial growing. Most of the plants which grace the roundabouts around Norwich start their life in this greenhouse.

The article which is reproduced below was published in the Cambridge Evening News on 28th January 1993, shortly before we opened our Cambridge showcentre. At one time we had show centres at the largest garden centres in Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridge and Norwich. However, during the last few years these sites have been closed as the needs of our customers have changed. Today our business is almost completely online.
