This adjustable tensioning kit is used to tightly clamp interlocking wall logs together, reducing the risk of log movement and increasing the strength and rigidity of the building. The kit includes 4 clamping assemblies, which are typically placed in the corners of a rectangular log building. Eyebolts are fixed to the top and bottom logs with a tensioner and a wire cord stretched between the eyes. The eyebolts can be up to approximately 2.4m apart. The eyes and cords can be located internally or externally to suit your preference. The tensioners should be checked periodically and tightened as needed. A tensioning kit is recommended for buildings in exposed locations where it may reduce the impact of strong winds. Each kit includes 4 wire cords, 4 tensioners, 8 cord clamps and 8 eyebolts to suit logs up to 45mm thick. The wire cords are plastic sleeved. All steel is galvanized or stainless.
