Bark chippings are often laid around playhouses and play centres to protect children from falls. They provide a softer surface beneath swings, slides and climbing frames. They can be laid across the entire area or in high risk areas only. This quality bark is graded with small nuggets of bark. A minimum 100mm depth is recommended. To maintain the correct depth throughout we recommend allowing 10-20% extra. Installation is easy on any surface including hardcore or concrete. The bark can also be laid directly on flat and level soil although a weed membrane is recommended. Edging trims are also recommended to retain the bark at the edges.
