TRADITIONALLY MADE TIMBER BUILDINGS

Your building will be traditionally made with large prefabricated timber framed panels. Delivery by specialist trained staff in dedicated vehicles is included. The panels will be carried from the roadside into your garden, often by a team of two but sometimes by just one experienced driver who knows how to carry the panels.

The picture above shows a traditionally made summerhouse front wall with factory fitted glass. It is 8ft wide, 7ft high and viewed from the inside. Our traditionally made buildings include sheds, summerhouses, offices, greenhouses and playhouses. Some of our best buildings feature prefabricated panels. Often the doors, opening windows and sometimes even the glass are factory fitted in a controlled environment which helps to ensure better quality and durability. It also makes installation easier. However, the large panels are difficult to deliver.

THE DELIVERY VEHICLES

• The picture above shows one of the smaller delivery vehicles, with the panels laid flat. It carries 4-6 timber buildings.
• The picture below shows one of the larger delivery vehicles, with the panels stored upright. It carries 10-12 timber buildings.

• Please advise if access for a large lorry is difficult.
• Reasonable access to your property and parking directly outside is assumed.
• Please contact us if there are any low bridges, narrow bridges, weight limits, width limits, parking restrictions, unloading restrictions or narrow lanes at or near your property.
• If the lorry access to your property is difficult the drivers can often carry the panels a short distance.
• Our lorry is bigger than the large bin lorry pictured below.
• Please advise if a large bin lorry cannot easily park outside your property.

ACCESS FOR LARGE PANELS

• The panels can normally be carried into most gardens, even if the access is narrow.
• Although very large the panels are only a few inches thick.
• The picture below shows a narrow gate and passageway through which large panels can be carried.

• It may not be possible to carry the panels into the back garden if there are height restrictions along the route.
• Some height restrictions can be easily removed to provide unrestricted access.
• The picture below shows a piece of wood at the top of a gate which can be easily removed with a screwdriver.

• The picture below shows a brick arch which may restrict access for the largest panels.
• If you are concerned about the access for large panels at your property please contact us.
• We can advise the largest panel size for your building and help you plan the delivery.

• Access restrictions can be overcome by making your building in smaller panels, small enough to pass through a normal door.
• The option of smaller panels is available with most of our traditional buildings.
• Normally the extra cost is very little despite the work required to make a building specially with smaller panels.
• Additional cover trims are supplied to cover the external joins.
• The quality and performance of your building will not be adversely affected by making it in smaller panels.
