The nesting boxes are easy to access and maintain. A large opening window with perspex glazing provides ample ventilation. Other features include 2" thick planed framing with shiplap cladding and a tongued and grooved floor and roof. The picture shows the standard 4'x5' hen house.

  SPECIALIST DELIVERY SERVICE:- These pet houses are normally delivered by specialist trained staff in dedicated vehicles. This ensures less damage. Most cheaper pet houses are delivered by national carriers who normally deliver to the kerbside only and cause more damage. Their prices are based on weight and panel sizes. As a result, pet houses delivered by outside carriers are made in small and flimsy lightweight sections with less wood. The benefits of our specialist delivery service include less damage, larger more rigid panels and heavier construction.

  OPTIONAL INSTALLATION: If installation is ordered your pet house will be delivered and installed on the same day by prior appointment with you. These pet houses are designed to be professionally installed so more care is taken in the factory to speed up installation and minimize problems on site. The result is better quality pet houses which are easy to fit and longer lasting. The installation charge includes preservative treatment to the underside of the floor.

  SIMPLE DIY ASSEMBLY: Because these pet houses are designed to be professionally installed they are also easier to fit yourself. Features of these pet houses include careful construction with high quality components, larger panels and fewer problems.

  HEN HOUSE CAPACITY: The maximum number of chickens which can be comfortably accommodated in these hen houses is difficult to specify exactly. It varies according to individual site conditions such as the size and layout of the run or yard and many other factors. Chickens normally need at least 4 square feet per bird, based on the overall combined space of the chicken coop and the run. In the coop or hen house, around 1 square foot of perch is required per bird for roosting. Depending on the breed and the size of the nesting boxes, one nesting box is normally sufficient for two hens. If you have more than 50 birds you are obliged by law to register with DEFRA.

  RESTRICTED ACCESS: A quality feature of these hen houses is that they are made in large rigid panels. If access is restricted, your hen house can be specially made in smaller sections designed to pass through a normal single door. The smaller sections are designed to be at least as strong as the larger panels normally supplied. This option is not normally required for the smallest 4'x8' size unless there are other obstructions. There is a charge for this option and notice is required with the order.
